Proverbs 31 Challenge

Ready for our first CHALLENGE ever?! As you know, The Submissive Spirit is all about providing resources for you to become women of the Word. But what does that actually look like?

Here’s where it gets good.  During the month of October, we’re launching the #prov31challenge by encouraging women to memorize this incredible portion of Scripture together within our online community. One verse a day for 31 days. Pretty simple, right?

What are the perks? Well beyond hiding God’s Word in your heart, you’ll also have the chance to score a $25 Target gift card! On top of that, be encouraged as you join others like you in becoming women of the Word.
Here’s how:

  • Tag 2 (or more!) of your friends on our Facebook or Instagram post
  • Nominate your besties with the phrase “I nominate _______ to take the Proverbs 31 Challenge!”
  • Repost our #prov31challenge post to your own page or in your stories.
  • check
Upload videos of yourself on the specified accountability days (the end of every week, don’t worry we’ll remind you!).

Proverbs 31 gives us a portrait glimpse of the ingredients of godly woman. Given by a queen mother to her son, this chapter outlines the qualities most valued by God Himself for womanhood.
Let’s see how much of a difference we’ll make as women of the Word at the end of this #prov31challenge. See you in 31 days?

About the Author

Zephany Schmutzler

Zephany and her husband, Clayton, are getting ready to embark on a new adventure. This summer they plan to move from Oklahoma to Oregon, where they will serve as part of the staff at a local church. Because her parents are Dominican and Puerto Rican, Zephany grew up speaking both English and Spanish. She was able to use her language skills when she spent the summer working in the Dominican Republic as part of a missionary team. There, she worked with kids and did a number of music translations. Zephany holds a degree in music from Heartland Baptist Bible College. She majored in vocal performance and also composes and plays the piano. Besides her music, she has some pretty formidable skills in the kitchen. At the Submissive Spirit, we love it when she pulls out a new recipe!
